My Favorite Athleisure Trends Fall/Winter 2019

Chilly weather is here which means it’s time for some wardrobe swaps! Pack away your shorts and tanks and check out this list of my favorite places to shop for athleisure.

#1 Free People

With an entire line up of cozy fleeces, joggers and sweatshirts that are soft and stylish, Free People is my number one pick for activewear (aka they totally get it). I’ve been obsessed with Free People’s new athleisure line for a while now (duh, they have a specific category just for dance-wear) and love how many pieces they have to layer. Whether it’s long sleeve thermals, light turtle neck shirts, neat sweats or comfy sweatshirts they have something for every chilly weather occasion.

My top Pick?—> Their Big Sky High Neck Pullover -while all of Free People’s fleeces are a dream, I’m sold on this one because of its front pouch pocket and adjustable drawstring hem so you can style it more cropped and tight or loose around the waist depending on your outfit!

#2 Alo Yoga

Hello basics. Alo Yoga is a go to spot for all things basics. Whether you’re looking for a plain crop tee, pair of joggers or crop sweatshirt (like our pick below) they typically have an awesome collection of colors and styles. Their new winter collection just dropped with tons of styles of shirts and sweatshirts in the color red (pictured on the left) that gives total holiday vibes. My one recommendation when it comes to pieces from Alo Yoga is to make sure you wash them alone and on delicate (hang to dry) to avoid any pilling.

My top pick?—> The Double Take Pullover - it’s the perfect sweatshirt to throw on after yoga or even workout in. Wear it alone or layer with a tank underneath. The best part? This sweatshirt comes in a variety of colors!

#3 Year of Ours

Year of Ours has quality that is seriously A grade. Their leggings are soft and made with comfortable material that holds you in- meaning they stay in place during a workout (nothing worse than leggings that fall down). As a female led company out in LA, they aim to create pieces that make people feel strong, sexy and a part of their team and they do just that!

My top pick?—> Their Ribbed Football Leggings- These leggings are so comfortable and functional I have them in almost every color. Their ultra high waist makes them a perfect match for the most intense of workouts, while the cut and fit make them flattering on everyone! I choose to feature the ribbed ones because I feel that they’re a little thicker than most leggings, making them the perfect transition leggings for when the weather gets chilly.

#4 Beach Riot

Beach Riot is an absolute mecca for fitness apparel and athleisure. While you can find their clothes on websites like Revolve and Carbon 38, their site tends to have a much larger selection of looks and styles.

My top pick?—> Their Animal Print Sets and styles that can be found on their new arrivals page. These pieces are vibrant and fun fall transition looks that can easily be worn from the studio to the street.

#5 Revolve

While Revolve doesn’t just sell fitness apparel, they do have quite a large selection of activewear on their site, along with jackets and fleeces that are perfect for the athleisure vibes I usually style myself in-not to mention a lot of it is on sale right now!

My top pick?—> The Sweatshirt Dress -I decided to include these oversized sweatshirt dresses as one of my picks since they are an easy grab and go statement piece for when you’re headed to your workout and want something to throw on or change into afterwards. Pair these sweatshirt dresses with sneakers and sunnies or over the knee boots when the weather gets chilly.

Happy Shopping!
