What I Put In My Bridesmaid Proposal Boxes

What started as a fun way to ask my bridesmaids to be in my wedding, turned into a lengthy process of curating the PERFECT bridesmaid proposal boxes (are you even surprised?) These took me SO long to put together- from hunting down what should go in them, how to package them, measuring dimensions, etc. so I wanted to put this blog together to give you ideas and possibly make your bridesmaid proposal process a whole lot easier. There are tons of pre-made boxes out there (which of course would have been the easier option) but these lacked the personal touch I was looking for and didn’t feel as special to me. Although these took me quite some time, the end results were stunning and all my girls loved them. I hand-delivered them to all 7 of my bridesmaids most of which weren’t local (another hard task since they couldn’t post or talk about them until they had all been delivered) however, I recommend doing this if possible because seeing their reactions was truly priceless.

After coming up with a theme and vibe for the boxes, these were the components I felt important to include…

-a personal note and message

-something sweet

-something practical

-something celebratory

and from there I hunted for the perfect items. Below you’ll find what went into my boxes, links and photos for curating the cutest proposal boxes your bridesmaids will LOVE! My last piece of advice is to capture their reactions and save them for your final wedding album ♥️

Proposal Boxes

These proposal boxes were absolutely stunning and I seriously cannot say enough good things about them. They shipped super fast and were extremely easy to assemble. The personalized tag, ribbon and safety pin made for such an elegant and classy design and the quality of them was top notch. Everything you do leading up to your big day sets the tone for your wedding (save the dates, invites, proposal boxes etc.) so hunting down the perfect box was really important to me. Make sure you take a look at the measurements so all your items fit perfectly inside.

Customized Champagne Flutes

These champagne flutes are a cute and fun item that will definitely be a crowd-pleaser. Engrave these with your crew’s names or titles like maid of honor and bridesmaid. If you’re delivering these in person opt for glass but if you’re shipping them plastic is definitely the better choice.

Mini Ruffino Sparkling Rose

These went great with my blush-colored theme and were the best compliment to the personalized champagne flutes. I loved including something bubbly because it actually got used and was a fun way to celebrate the moment.

Sugarfina Champagne Bears

Something sweet was a MUST for me to include since I love candy and putting together these boxes and seeing my bridesmaids open them was the sweetest most surreal moment. Plus, if there’s anything I’ve learned so far in my wedding planning journey, it’s that people love anything that’s edible. These are a gift your girls can actually enjoy that won’t collect dust on a shelf.

Bridesmaid Emergency Kit

These mini emergency kits are the cutest touch to any proposal box. Since I’m all about being practical, I loved these because my girls will actually get some use out of them on my big day or any other events leading up to the wedding (bach party, shower, rehearsal dinner, etc.). They really do include EVERYTHING you may need and they’re packaged small enough to fit in any size clutch.

Voluspa Candle

My girls know that I absolutely love candles, and these Voluspa petite jars were an ideal size and fit for my boxes. The Panjore Lychee scent is light and subtle- perfect for any smaller bedroom or bathroom space.
