Your Wedding Registry Guide

It’s finally here! My wedding registry must-have list has taken me a little while to put together because I wanted to make sure I included timeless and elegant pieces, things you certainly may not buy for yourself, and those special things you’ll need for after you say “I do”. While these are some high ticket items they’re, IMO, the perfect splurge-worthy registry picks you’ll love. You’ll notice I left out your daily essentials, like your classic kitchen essential and everyday dishware but instead opted for things I felt were a little more special. Bride and Groom Essentials

These are the first picks you should place on your registry. These make fantastic engagement gifts, as they’re things you can start using right away or on your big day! Toast in style with Waterford flutes and pick out a special picture frame where you can place engagement photos and eventually your favorite wedding snapshot.

Kitchen

This section is totally a matter of how much time you and your future bride/groom spend in the kitchen. In my opinion, if you don’t find yourselves cooking that often, only go with the essentials. The one thing I’ve heard over and over when registering is people saying how they never use their kitchen aid mixer or barely touch the kitchen tools they registered for, so if you’re not into cooking don’t spend too much time here and instead opt for things you’ll really get good use out of. I love to cook and bake, so this was probably my favorite section to shop for. We also love to entertain so a french press coffee that completes a brunch bar and Breville pizza maker were fun things to add I know I’d love but maybe wouldn’t think to purchase on my own.

Dining & Entertaining

Once again, another section that you may not find yourself spending too much time in. I’ve heard lots of couples that don’t want a complete set of fine china or maybe don’t entertain that often but we live for having friends over, cooking and hopefully one-day hosting holidays for our family so this section was really important to me. It’s 2021 so my one pro tip is to find a nice charcuterie board and cheese knives and add them to your registry. Home Decor

This is a great place to get creative on your registry. What are things you want in your home to give it that personal touch. A cashmere throw to elevate your style? New splurge-worthy candles? A glass bowl that doubles as a terrarium and a decorative ornament bowl around the holidays? These are just a collection of my favorites, but this section is where your personal style shines through so hopefully this gives you some great starting ideas.

Bed & Bath

For us, there are two must-haves in our home- a kitchen stocked with any and all gadgets for our cooking endeavors and amazing sheets. The Sky brand from Bloomingdales makes our absolute favorite and even if you don’t register for them, they’re worth the splurge.

For him

Since registries can get a little boring after rounding up all the “basics” and “necessities” you’ll need to get started, my “for him” section is where the fun comes in. Of course, these are things you’ll truly both enjoy, but I felt that a collection of items for your significant other that was less hands-on with the registry is always a great option.
